New Hair Wave
Client - “Sweet Caroline” Hair Salon Exposition (5/10/2010)
Brief : To produce an ultra-wide and vaguely symmetrical video backdrop to a live Hair Show and Stylists’ demonstration.
Style : All images based around the culture of Melbourne’s New Wave music scene. Appropriated video footage of the Melbourne scene, as well as their influences at the time. Screens were meant to be arranged like a mess of streetposters, or a TV shop, depending on your point of view. Skewing and luminance blending typical to the music video’s of the era.
Considerations : To be slow and repetitive for the first hour so as to not distract from the Models. Images speeding up and and intensifying at the end.
